Who we are
Perks & Places is operated by Amelia Perkin, trading as Perks & Places, a sole trader business. There is no separate registered company. By creating an account or using the app, you're agreeing to these terms with Amelia Perkin directly.
What the app does
Perks & Places suggests travel destinations based on answers you give in a quiz, using Anthropic's Claude AI to generate the matches. Destination suggestions, budget estimates and travel dates are informed guesses, not guarantees, live bookings or professional travel advice. Always check real prices, availability, visa and entry requirements yourself before booking or travelling.
Your account
You need an account to use the app. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for anything that happens under your account. Give us a real email address you actually check, since it's how you'd get a password reset link if you ever need one.
Group trips
Anyone you share a group trip code or link with can join that group and see the group's final destination match once it's revealed. Your own individual quiz answers stay private from every other group member, including the group's creator, for as long as the group exists. See the privacy policy for how that's enforced.
Cookies and analytics
We only use analytics if you say yes to it in the cookie banner. Declining, or never deciding, means none of it runs. See the privacy policy for exactly what's collected when you do accept.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the app: no scraping, no attempting to access another traveller's account or another group's private answers, no abusive or illegal content in anything you submit. We can suspend or remove an account that does any of this.
No warranty, limited liability
The app is provided in its current form, during an active testing period, with no guarantee it will be free of errors or available at all times. To the extent the law allows, Perks & Places isn't liable for losses arising from a trip booked or planned based on a suggestion the app gave you. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for fraud.
Changes and ending your account
These terms may be updated as the app develops beyond this testing period; the "last updated" date above will change when they do. You can delete your account at any time from your profile page, or by contacting us using the details below.
